Yesterday, officers from the Boston Police Department's District E-18 (Hyde Park) Community Service Office hosted a heartening "Cones with a Cop" event at Ron's Gourmet Ice Cream and Bowling according to a BPD report.
Sponsored by Advanced Property Management, the event welcomed a vibrant turnout from the Hyde Park community, including children, seniors, and faith leaders, all of whom came together to enjoy ice cream and engaging conversations.
Though the goal of these outreach programs remains the same - building trust and collaborative partnerships - each occurrence maintains a unique impact within the community. The sharing of frozen treats at "Cones with a Cop" not only brought a sense of joy and connection but also offered an opportunity for the law enforcement officials and community members to exchange perspectives on topics that affect their daily lives.
