Yesterday, a vicious and unprovoked attack left an 80-year-old veteran with multiple stab wounds while jogging through the streets of the Bay Park neighborhood in San Diego.
According to Fox 5 San Diego, the veteran was targeted at approximately 5:20 a.m. on Littlefield and Frankfort Streets. The assailant reportedly pushed the elderly man to the ground, proceeding to stab him in the throat, the back of his neck, and his wrist. This malicious act was carried out in the man's own neighborhood, where he had lived for 60 years. Miraculously, the victim returned home from the hospital later that day and is expected to survive.
The suspect, who remains at large, is described as a man aged between 30-35 years old, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, with long straight hair, and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, dark pants, and carrying a skateboard.
