The season of pumpkin spice lattes and golden leaves is upon us in Castro Valley as the Castro Valley Fall Festival announced today. This year, as the community prepares to embrace the festivities, local authorities have taken measures to ensure public safety and smooth navigation around the event venue per the CHP - Hayward FB post.
Castro Valley Boulevard between Santa Maria Avenue and Redwood Road will be closed from the evening of September 8th until the evening of September 10th. A detour has been set up via Jamison Way to accommodate the event-related road closure, and motorists have been advised to plan alternate routes should they prefer to avoid any potential traffic congestions.
Although the road closures and detours may temporarily inconvenience some commuters, the Castro Valley Fall Festival serves as a cherished annual event that brings the community together to celebrate the transition into the cooler months. Locals and visitors alike can be seen sipping on their favorite pumpkin spice beverages, while they peruse a diverse array of booths showcasing local businesses and artisans.
This year, the authorities will also have a booth at the festival on September 9th and 10th, where they'll be handing out safety information about traffic and enjoying pumpkin spice lattes with the public.
