On October 3, from 7 AM to 10 AM, one southbound traffic lane on Camino del Mar in Del Mar will be closed to accommodate crane work at the site of the former Bully's North restaurant. According to an announcement by the City of Del Mar, the closures will include 160 feet of covered sidewalk and the parking lane on the west side of Camino del Mar, stretching from the construction site to 15th Street.
This temporary closure comes as part of the ongoing construction project by Beverly Hills-based Hillstone Restaurant Group, which plans to build a new restaurant in the location of the former Bully's North. As reported by the City of Del Mar, intermittent crane work is approved through July 2024, with the project's encroachment permit requiring contractors to provide a notice five days before each disruption and to implement traffic control measures to ensure public safety.
In response to these scheduled disruptions, residents are urged to diligently follow instructions provided by signage and traffic safety personnel, in order to not only smoothly navigate through the affected areas but also to maintain a safe environment for workers and fellow citizens alike.
