Two separate homicides occurred within a ten-day span at Bayfair Center's parking lot in San Leandro, leading to an ongoing investigation.
The homicides, both occurring at the 24-Hour Fitness parking lot of Bayfair Center, first took place on September 14. A male was discovered dead in a vehicle from a gunshot wound, as detailed in the San Leandro Police Department's press release.
Unfortunately, a second homicide was reported on September 24. Responding officers discovered yet another man inside a vehicle who had died from gunshot wounds. Investigators are meticulously working to determine if these crimes are unrelated or connected in some way, according to a statement from the San Leandro Police Department.
