
The Teach Me To Fish Cooking Program, shows how such efforts can positively impact the lives of young people and their families, while at the same time, cultivating essential life skills. This program is backed by a strong partnership among the Lingzi Foundation, PAL, Boston Police, and the families themselves that strive to bring folks together at the dinner table according to Boston Police Department.
Throughout the summer of 2023, the Teach Me To Fish Cooking Program was able to adapt to various vacation schedules and continued to meet virtually. As a result, families participated in the making of mouth-watering dishes such as kabobs, pizza, BBQ, and summer lasagna. The aim was not solely to provide an entertaining experience, but also consciously to instill love for cooking and the appreciation for family unity according to Boston Police Department.
As summer drew to an end and preparations for the new school year began, the Teach Me To Fish Cooking Program concluded their series of activities with a delightful ice cream celebration. By creating a safe and nurturing environment for young individuals to learn the art of cooking, the program fulfills its mission to empower the next generation and reinforce the essence of togetherness in our increasingly fast-paced world.
