Yesterday, the Chicago Police Department (CPD) announced the arrest of a juvenile offender in connection to the harrowing murder of a 65-year-old man on May 17, 2023.
Members of the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended the suspect after identifying him as the one responsible for causing great bodily harm, ultimately resulting in death, to the victim according to the CPD.
This tragic incident took place in the 4100 block of W. West End Ave in Chicago's 11th District and has since raised concerns over the issue of youth violence and the impact it has on local communities.
As reported by the CPD, the juvenile offender has been taken into custody and formally charged for his involvement in this heinous crime.
