Fullerton Pkwy in Lincoln Park, taking over the ground-floor space that previously belonged to Emilio's Tapas. The new location expands the concept beyond its roots as a neighborhood shoppe in Lincoln Square.
From a Shoppe to a Neighborhood Anchor
According to Chicago Food Magazine, Piccadilly Market expanded its original Lincoln Square shop into this much larger flagship, which now includes an 80-person outdoor courtyard the company has named Piccadilly Square. That courtyard is designed as a European-style public-square gathering space and hosts acoustic music, per the same report. Upstairs, the market has a full coffee program, a bar, and a lounge, while a balcony above the sidewalk offers umbrella-lined seating.
The building itself has plenty of built-in customers. The market's ground-floor address sits at the base of Park West Tower, a 20-story residential condominium building constructed in 1972 that houses 200 residential units, according to Compass Real Estate. The building sits near the market, on a corner previously occupied by Emilio's Tapas before its closure.
Chef Mark Mendez Scales Up the Kitchen
The market's all-day café food program is led by chef Mark Mendez, who was executive chef at City Winery in 2018, according to Chicago Magazine. At the Lincoln Park flagship, the café offers an all-day food program.
A job listing posted in August 2026 sought cooks for the Lincoln Park location, according to a Craigslist posting.
Wine Shop, Cocktail Bar, and Local Craft Partners

Owner Aaron Zacharias, who has been identified as part of the team behind The Northman and Bar on Buena, has built neighborhood gathering spaces across Chicago, according to WhatNow Chicago. In Lincoln Square, Zacharias announced plans for The Green Post, a British-inspired pub and café, in 2022.
