
A man was fatally shot by police officers in Hayward after allegedly pointing what appeared to be a gun at them. According to NBC Bay Area, officers were responding to a report of a man with a gun on City Center Drive, off Foothill Boulevard, around 9:40 PM when the incident occurred.
Later investigations revealed that the weapon in question was, in fact, a BB gun.

In the wake of this incident, the Hayward Police Department will hold a press conference today, as announced in a press release. Acting Chief Bryan Matthews will provide further updates and address any inquiries in the conference, scheduled to take place at 3:00 PM at the Hayward Police Department.
