
Earlier today, a man fell victim to a brutal act of violence outside the Chase Bank in downtown Berkeley. The man was stabbed multiple times around 3 a.m., leaving a chilling scene of blood smeared across the ground.
KTVU reports that the victim, who had some sort of mental disability, frequently slept in the bank's lobby to charge his phone and seek warmth. In a cruel twist of fate, he found himself wounded and desperately calling 911 from the very place he sought refuge and security.
The victim is now being treated at Highland Hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds. The identity of the assailant remains unknown, representing the unpredictable nature of such violent acts.
