Rocha, a Cape Verdean male with a distinctly visible gray mustache and short gray hair, disappeared yesterday, sparking growing concerns for his whereabouts and well-being, according to the Boston Police Department.
A news release from Boston PD's Facebook page also noted that prior to his disappearance, Fernando Rocha was last seen near 343 Massachusetts Avenue, around 5:30 PM. Described as being 5'10" and of medium build, he was wearing a black/blue hat, a green button-up shirt with a brown belt, blue jeans, black shoes, and glasses. With no known medical issues, the elderly man's sudden disappearance has left authorities and the community understandably puzzled and concerned.
Due to Rocha's frequent use of the bus system, it is believed that he may have traveled in the direction of Bowdoin Street and Cambridge at the time of his disappearance.
