In the city of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, residents were left reeling after a deadly stabbing shook their community. But swift actions by the combined forces of multiple law enforcement agencies led to the apprehension of the accused, 27-year-old Josiah Helmer, in less than 48 hours.
On the evening of Tuesday, September 12, Melville Street became the scene of a horrifying incident that took the life of an unnamed individual.
According to the Pittsfield Police Department, Helmer was apprehended on Thursday, September 14, on an outstanding warrant charging him with murder.
