Yesterday, a New Hampshire teen faced a harsh reality when his joyride ended with a severe charge of aggravated driving under the influence (DUI). Tyler J. Gay, a 19-year-old resident of Concord, was arrested after a state trooper clocked him driving at a shocking 136 mph on I-93 northbound, as reported by WHDH.

According to the Patch, Amber Lagace, public information officer for the department, explained that around 10 p.m. yesterday, a state trooper monitoring traffic observed a vehicle traveling at "an excessively high rate of speed." Utilizing his cruiser-mounted radar, the trooper ascertained the vehicle's speed at 136 mph. Shortly after, the trooper pulled over the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Tyler J. Gay.

The trooper noticed signs of impairment in Gay, prompting a roadside driving while intoxicated investigation. As a result of the investigation, Gay was arrested on charges of aggravated driving while under the influence and reckless operation of a motor vehicle, as another WHDH article added.

Following the incident, Gay was taken to the Troop D state police barracks in Concord. There, he was released on personal recognizance bail, pending his arraignment for the charges, as NBC Boston reported.
