As reported on the Lafayette PD's Facebook page, the string of arrests began at 9:42 a.m. when an officer spotted a suspicious vehicle with two sleeping men inside. Paraphernalia discovered on the laps of both individuals led to the arrest of the driver for an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia, and the passenger for possession of narcotics.

Later that day, at 2:50 p.m., officers received a call about a shoplifting incident at a business in the 3500 Block of Mt. Diablo Blvd. According to the same Lafayette PD's Facebook post, an Orinda PD Officer managed to locate the suspect vehicle driving westbound on Highway 24 and conducted a traffic stop. One of the vehicle's occupants was found to have an outstanding warrant and the other was arrested for shoplifting.

As the day drew to a close, at 10:00 p.m., yet another shoplifting incident was reported to an officer in the 3500 Block of Mt. Diablo Blvd. The suspect, spotted walking on the EBMUD trail alongside the freeway, was quickly taken into custody.
