Today in Oakland's Lake Merritt, a shooting left one person injured, causing concern among local residents and visitors to the area. The sudden eruption of gunfire occurred just before 12:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Madison Street near Lakeside Dr. on the western side of the lake, according to police reports CBS News San Francisco.
Emergency dispatchers received multiple calls about the incident, and when officers arrived on the scene, they found one victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The Oakland Fire Department and a Falck ambulance crew provided medical aid, and the injured person was transported to the hospital KRON4. The victim's current condition remains unknown, as no further information has been released immediately concerning their health status.
