Earlier today, the city of Chicago found itself grappling with a spate of armed robberies. Four separate incidents occurred between 12:15 a.m. and 2:42 a.m., with each robbery executed by ruthless individuals brandishing guns and demanding valuable belongings from their victims.

According to the Chicago Police Department, a white SUV was used in two of the crimes, both located within the 12th district. The first took place on the 3000 block of W. Carroll at 12:15 a.m., where a 23-year-old male was robbed at gunpoint. The second incident occurred on the 400 block of N. Aberdeen at 12:53 a.m., involving another young male, aged 25. In both cases, the victims were approached on the sidewalk by three male assailants who emerged from the same white SUV, and forcibly relieved of their wallets and backpacks.

As the night progressed, another robbery was reported in the same district, with a dark gray SUV being used this time. At approximately 2:10 a.m., on the 1100 block of W. Van Buren, a 33-year-old male fell prey to three armed individuals who took his wallet and cell phone.

In the neighboring 17th district, a male adult was also ambushed by armed assailants around 2:42 a.m. on the 3500 block of N. Kimball. The victim was in a retail store's parking lot when two men approached him from a black SUV and robbed him of his backpack and wallet.

At the time of reporting, no one has been taken into custody and Area Three detectives are investigating the crimes within the 12th district, while Area Five detectives oversee the case in the 17th district.
