In the late hours of Wednesday night, a series of at least three unsettling robberies struck the North Side of Chicago, causing unease among business owners and the public. In a worrisome succession of events, local establishments were targeted by individuals wielding the threat of violence and harm, according to the Chicago Tribune.

It began at a bar in the 4700-block of North Rockwell Street, where one victim told the police around 11:25 p.m. that an individual demanded money from the register while they were closing down the establishment. With no other recourse, they complied and the suspect fled the scene, per ABC7 Chicago.

But the night was far from over. Merely minutes earlier, a worker at Kimberli Sushi in the 2500-block of West Lawrence Avenue was subjected to a similar ordeal, a traumatizing event unfolding when someone entered the premises claiming to possess a firearm and demanding money. The worker complied, and the suspect vanished into the evening.

A parallel experience occurred around the same time when two armed individuals walked into West Town Wine and Spirits in the 2500-block of West North Avenue. They demanded money from the clerk, who also complied without resistance. Fortunately, no one was injured in any of these incidents, but no suspects have been apprehended yet, according to ABC7 Chicago.
