Monday kicked off with chilly temperatures rising to the 60s by afternoon. Light rain was recorded in certain areas while others experienced sunshine, says Alicia Roman, an NBC 5 Meteorologist. Wind gusts reached up to 25 miles per hour, as we gear up for an even windier week with 30-35 miles per hour gusts expected Tuesday.
Temperatures will potentially reach the 70s as the week continues. Rain and storm chances will escalate Tuesday afternoon and evening, possibly developing into thunderstorms which could last through Wednesday morning, according to Roman. Amid such fluctuating weather, residents should be ready for the unexpected.
NBC 5 Meteolrogist Alicia Roman also suggests that the 70-degree weather could persist until Thursday, with a notable dip over the weekend and into next week. Along with dropping temperatures, there is also a possibility of rain.
The National Weather Service warned that unsettled weather predicts continued rain chances into the weekend, despite possible breaks.
