Mario Jernagin appeared in a detention hearing today, following his arrest by the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force yesterday in the 2700 block of S. California Ave.
The 40-year-old Jernagin was identified as the alleged offender in a vehicle hijacking incident, in which he supposedly stole a vehicle at gunpoint from a 29-year-old male in the 0-100 block of E. Garfield Blvd. last month, September 6, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Jerganin is now placed into custody and charged accordingly.
