The Chicago Police Department arrested an 18-year-old male suspectyesterday, October 12, for a vehicular hijacking incident from January 2023.
His charges include aggravated vehicular hijacking and possession of a firearm, and his detention hearing is scheduled fortoday, at 1100 S. Hamilton, as per the Chicago Police Department press release.
The detention derived from an incident on January 7, 2023, where a 39-year-old male claimed his vehicle was commandeered at gunpoint by the same suspect.
The event occurred early morning at the 900 block of S. Keeler Avenue in the 11th District. Law enforcement successfully located suspect in Downers Grove, 2700 block of Finley Road, IL.
