
Earlier today, a fire erupted in a building at 4837 North Lawndale. The swift response from the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) prevented any loss of life, despite the extensive damage. Their CFD Media tweet stated: "4837 North Lawndale Still and Box CFD being told that everyone is out of the building... heavy fire on the first floor. Searches are complete and negative at 4837 North Lawndale NO INJURIES."

Following the fire, the local community came together. Donations flooded in for those displaced, and volunteers helped find them shelter.
