
Today, Leonard Bentley, a 30-year-old resident of Chicago, became yet another victim of the city's persistent gun violence. Bentley's fatal shooting occurred in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side, while he was a passenger in a car, according to Chicago Sun-Times.
Bentley was reportedly shot around 9 p.m. on the 10900 block of South Wentworth Avenue. The authorities said an unidentified person in another vehicle fired multiple bullets at him, severely wounding him in his chest.
Rushed quickly to Roseland Community Hospital, the victim was declared deceased.
Area Two detectives are currently investigating to identify the perpetrator responsible for Bentley's shooting. As per the details by CBS News, there have been no arrests related to this incident.
