The City of Chula Vista and the South Bay Sustainable Communities Network are organizing the 20th Beautify Chula Vista Day on Saturday, October 21. Taking place from 8:30 a.m. to noon, the event will focus on cleanup and beautification initiatives at the Animal Care Facility and the Memorial Bowl at Memorial Park, according to the City of Chula Vista news report. Approximately 300 volunteers are expected to participate in these environmental endeavors.
Individuals who wish to join the Chula Vista cleanup are advised to dress appropriately and bring work gloves, a refillable water bottle, and food.
The event offers students the opportunity to earn community service hours, as well as providing residents the chance to contribute to community well-being.
According to a statement on the city's website, interested parties must register in advance, with the details found on the Beautify Chula Vista website. Furthermore, issues regarding registration should be directed to the City's Environmental Services Division.
