Today, a 52-year-old man was shot on the 5300 block of South Western Ave., in Chicago's 9th police district.
As reported by the Chicago Police Department, the man was fired upon by an unidentified male shooter.
The victim was hit in the left buttocks and thigh, but he was able to self-transport to Jesse Brown hospital, where he remains in good condition.
No suspects have been captured yet, and the investigation led by Area One detectives continues.
