Yesterday, authorities joined retailers at Pleasant Hill Shopping Center to tackle the issue of organized retail crime during a Theft Suppression event. The joint effort recovered over $2,500 worth of stolen merchandise and resulted in the arrest of 11 individuals, as stated by the Pleasant Hill Police Department.
The stores impacted by the thefts included Target, Ross, Homegoods, and Burlington.
The arrested individuals are facing varying charges from grand theft to petty theft.
Prior to the holiday season, these joint efforts become especially critical as retailers typically face increased theft during this period.
