The second Lamborghini yacht has reached the United States, finding its new home in San Diego Bay. This Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 yacht, which cost a formidable $4.5 million, is currently the only one of its kind on the West Coast, as reported by CBS 8. Owner, Ace Rogers, La Jolla resident and CEO of Doctor Multimedia procured and began to construct the yacht in 2020. Two years later, it has made its journey from Italy to San Diego.
A partnership between Lamborghini and Italian superboat company Tecnomar aimed to create an exclusive set of these high-performance yachts was announced in 2020. Offering an unmatched blend of design, luxury, and power, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 has been lauded for the collaborative effort that led to its creation, as per Lamborghini.
The second yacht, dubbed "Aspen and Delilah" after Rogers' daughter and three-legged dog, now resides on the West Coast. Despite a minor hiccup during the maiden voyage, the yacht traveled from Los Angeles to San Diego undamaged, per Rogers Instagram post.
The captivating details and finishes of the yacht, reflecting pure opulence, were meticulously selected by Rogers. Traveling to Italy during its construction, he ensured that the vessel echoed the essence of luxury. Citing the Alcantara leather and extensive use of carbon fiber, he compared it to a Lamborghini on water with its maximum speed of 60 knots.
Rogers seeks to blend his enjoyment of this remarkable vessel with drawing attention to senior and handicapped dogs. By engraving the yacht with "Aspen and Delilah" and publicizing pictures of Aspen onboard, he is advocating for and encouraging support for animals requiring shelter and care. Their well-being, according to Rogers, is his principal interest, stating: "For me, a boat's a boat, a car is a car. I base my love on happiness."
In the future, a team of 20 to 30 individuals will be assigned to yacht maintenance in San Diego. A Lamborghini team also plans to spend a week in San Diego, running through all aspects of the vessel with Rogers and his crew.
