This week, Tufts Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) sparked outrage by applauding the "creativity" of Hamas fighters using paragliding tactics in their recent attacks on Israel. The attacks resulted in numerous Israeli deaths and hostage situations.
The letter has since been widely condemned by the Anti-Defamation League's New England chapter and the Tufts University institution itself, distancing from the views expressed by the student group according to Boston Globe.

This SJP incident is not unique. Dozens of Harvard student groups were recently accused of blaming Israel for Hamas' terrorist attacks. Harvard President Claudine Gay emphasized that while students are allowed to express their views, no student group speaks for University leadership as reported by Boston Herald News.
