UPDATE: Missing Eritrean Man Safely Located in Oakland After Public Cooperation and Vigilance

Today, the Oakland Police Department (OPD) reported that Awot Tara, a 27-year-old Eritrean man missing since October 2, who needed daily medication, has been safely located.

Tara was last seen in the Oakland area, specifically on 45th Street. Shortly after his disappearance, the OPD enlisted the public's help through an advisory on October 4, as noted in an article by Hoodline. This was due to Tara's struggle with schizophrenia, a condition that makes him heavily reliant on daily medication.
