
The Alameda Police Department (APD) has disclosed updates on two armed robbery cases in the area. A resident was victimized at an ATM on the 2200 block of Otis Drive on September 23. As reported in a news release by the Alameda Police Department today, investigators obtained an arrest warrant and detained the perpetrator last Thursday.
The APD also swiftly apprehended a bank robber on the Otis Drive block according to Hoodline. The suspect handed a threatening note, feigning possession of a gun, to a bank employee and fled with stolen funds.
Cooperation with bank staff to quickly spread video evidence resulted in locating and arresting the culprit within an hour at a nearby business.
