The 002nd District (Wentworth) in Chicago is grappling with rising instances of robberies targeting pizza delivery workers as the Chicago Police Department (CPD) alert mentioned. A group of two to three male offenders, brandishing a black handgun, forcefully and quickly steal food and personal belongings before disappearing on foot. There have been at least two incidents on the 4000 block of South Lake Park Avenue.
The CPD alert identifies the offenders as wearing hooded sweatshirts and black ski masks. With the criminals yet to be caught, it prompts one to wonder how they have been able to blend in without detection.
