Today, an incident occurred at a Best Buy in Vacaville, California. As per a Vacaville Police Department Facebook post, two unknown males entered the store and pilfered merchandise amounting to around $1,500. One of the perpetrators reportedly pushed an employee while escaping, with both suspects making their exit in a car.
The suspects' vehicle was identified soon after the incident by the Vallejo Police Department, initiating a pursuit. The chase, however, was called off, due to the risk of the suspects' hazardous driving.
Best Buy is not the sole target of such incidents. Per a Facebook post by the Vacaville Police Department, several businesses have faced similar situations. Retailers are stepping up their security protocols and collaborating with the police to thwart these crimes.
