San Diego Bay Parade of Lights Sets Sail on Yuletide SeasSource: San Diego Bay Parade of Lights

San Diego Bay is about to get lit like the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. The 53rd Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is decked out to dazzle with the theme "Christmas Traditions Around the World," according to the Port of San Diego news report. So, jet off to Cali to catch this riverside spectacle on December 10 and December 17, where the parade will throw a serious shade at Rudolph's red nose with approximately 80 boats.

"The Port of San Diego is proud to sponsor the 53rd Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights," stated Chairman Rafael Castellanos via the Port of San Diego's press release. This year's lineup is slated to set the bay on fire, with the judging taking place at the pier at Cesar Chavez Park.

Spectators can kick off their holiday cheer starting at 5:30 p.m. at Shelter Island as the flotilla makes its merry way past Harbor Island, the twinkling North and South Embarcadero areas, all the way to the grand finale at the Ferry Landing on Coronado per the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights website.

Bustling spots to catch the parade for free include Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Broadway Pier, Embarcadero Marina Parks North and South, Cesar Chavez Park and Pier, and Coronado Ferry Landing.
