Last year, on November 19, 2022, Jean Fenelon, a Boston-area bus driver, was involved in a deadly accident while transporting students back to Brandeis University. A year later, Fenelon, 58, was arrested and charged with motor vehicle homicide and speeding in connection with this tragic event. When police arrived on scene they located 30 passengers.  One of passengers, identified as Vanessa Mark, 25, was pronounced dead on scene repoted by the Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Waltham Police Chief Kevin O’Connell.

Fenelon was arraigned in Waltham District Court  earlier this week, on November 3, nearly a year after the accident. He was released on personal recognizance and prohibited from operating a motor vehicle without a license or contacting any of the witnesses. His next court date is scheduled next year, February 28, 2024
