Earlier this week, on November 2, Boston Police officers confiscated a firearm from an apartment on Fremont Street, Mattapan, leading to the arrest of 22-year-old William Bailey from West Roxbury. Bailey is facing firearms-related charges. Responding to a report of a person with a gun, officers took Bailey into custody after he opened the apartment door according to the Boston Police Department. .
Detectives executing a search warrant later to uncover a handgun, a 380 model loaded with four rounds. Bailey is now charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, and following further investigations, detectives are expected to seek additional arrest warrants related to firearms as stated on Boston Police Department's website.
