Earlier today, an individual was arrested by the Boston Police Department after a routine traffic stop revealed a loaded firearm in Roxbury. The detained individual, Erik D. Campbell, 39, of Dorchester, held the firearm illegally, as per the Boston Police Department.
It was initially for running a red light that officers assigned to District B-2, Roxbury, pulled Campbell over. A subsequent check revealed that his driver's license had been previously suspended, according to the Boston Police Department. A more thorough inspection of the vehicle led to the discovery of an unloaded Kahr Arms CM40 model firearm under the driver's seat.
Campbell is now facing charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
