
The Chicago Police Department issued a plea for public assistance in the search for a 33-year-old male, Bartosz Polak, who has been reported missing since Sunday. According to the department's official release, Polak was last seen around 10 a.m. at the YSL Columbus Manor in the 5100 block of Jackson Blvd. Concern is particularly high as Polak is known to be battling schizophrenia, accordding to Chicago Police Department.
Polak, described as a white male standing at 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair, was observed on security footage exiting the back of the building and heading northbound on Laramie Ave. In the appeal shared by the Chicago police, the clothing he donned was a black hoodie, black pants, and grey loafer shoes.
The case has been assigned to the Area FOUR Special Victims Unit which is handling the investigation. Authorities urge anyone who might have information about Polak's disappearance or his current location to come forward. The CPD statement emphasizes, "If located, please call 911 and or Area FOUR SVU at 312-746-8251."
