This week, on November 16, a passenger train and a diesel-powered snow removal train collided while traveling on the same Chicago's Yellow Line tracks, closest to the Howard station, as stated by the Chicago Transit Authority.
According to the CTA President, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will be spearheading an investigation into this incident, with full cooperation from the CTA. The primary focus, for now, is ensuring the well-being of passengers and employees affected by the accident.
