
Yesterday, November 7, a 14-year-old male was arrested for an auto-related crime that took place this year on July 4th as reported by the Chicago Police Department. He faces charges of vehicular endangerment, hit-and-run, and theft.
The incident took place in the 8500 block of South Dorchester in Chicago's 4th District. The suspect is believed to have driven erratically with another 14-year-old male on the hood of the vehicle. The victim was subsequently thrown from the car and severely injured. The alleged offender then stole the victim's possessions and fled the scene.
The capture of the young suspect was the result of joint operations between the Chicago Police Department and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
