Discovery Street is undergoing a makeover as construction crews bring in heavy machinery to refresh this part of the road. If you're planning to drive from Via Vera Cruz to South Bent Avenue this week, be prepared for a detour or two.
According to a Facebook alert by the City of San Marcos, flaggers will be on duty to guide vehicles around the construction sites. They will facilitate traffic at the entrances of Joy Court, the recently established Discovery Drive situated between Lakeshore Drive and Joy Court, and near the residences of Lakeview Mobile Estates.
On Tuesday, Nov. 28, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., traffic on Discovery Drive will be reduced to a single lane. It's a temporary inconvenience, but aside from this brief disruption, the routes of Joy Court, Discovery Drive, and Lakeview Mobile Estates should remain accessible.
