
Tragedy struck Chicago on Wednesday evening as two men lost their lives in a shooting, with both incidents occurring just over an hour apart on the South Side. The initial burst of gunfire claimed the life of a 27-year-old man at about 6 p.m. in the area of West 63rd Street, within the Chicago Lawn neighborhood detailed a statement obtained by the Chicago Tribune. The victim's identity has yet to grace the public's ear.
The assailant struck the young man in the head and body; he was urgently transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead. Adding to the evening's grim tally, in a follow-up report by FOX 32 Chicago, Chicago Law Authority spelled out the scene where the chaos unfolded in the 2500 block of West 63rd Street.
An hour later, a second life was taken in the 8700 block of South Escanaba Avenue, where a 29-year-old man found himself victim to multiple shots to the body while standing outside as reported the Chicago Tribune.
