Two men were seriously injured on Thursday evening when their car crashed into an office building on Simarano Drive in Marlborough, Massachusetts, according to Metro West Daily News. Witnesses reported the red vehicle was driving erratically before the crash, and authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The injured men, 50 and 45, were both unconscious and trapped within the car wreckage. They were immediately rushed to UMass-Memorial Medical Center, via ambulance and medical rescue helicopter. Their vehicle had smashed into the entrance of IPG Photonics, a local laser equipment manufacturer, after speeding off the I-495 off-ramp.
Despite the severe vehicle damage and debris, the office building sustained no structural damage, as reported by NBC Boston. Moreover, a receptionist working nearby avoided injury amidst the shower of glass shards. Investigators continue to explore the factors that led to the crash.
