According to the alert, the suspects, described as three to four African American males ages 16–25 years old, were donned in black hoodies, black pants, and black ski masks during the heists. Menacingly armed with handguns, they reportedly used a white SUV, a 2015 Infiniti Q50, as their getaway vehicle.
The spree of brazen daylight robberies occurred on Tuesday, hitting five separate locations in just over an hour, beginning at 6:20 AM and continuing until nearly 8 AM. Victims found themselves suddenly accosted while ensconced in their vehicles or navigating the sidewalks. The robbers would produce a handgun, announce the robbery, and then brutally demand personal belongings. In one harrowing incident, as the victims attempted to desperately escape, they were battered—an act underscoring the callous disregard these criminals have for the sanctity of human life.
