The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has flashed the green light, announcing that Rafael Santillan, the 42-year-old man whose disappearance sparked a widespread search, has been found. Rafael's case, which had gripped the South Gate community since his mysterious disappearance on October 19, was resolved with the LASD issuing a major shout-out to the public, media, Aero Bureau, and deputies for their "tireless efforts" in tracking down the lost individual, as disclosed in a gratified burst of communication from the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Before being found, the 5'11", 225-lb Santillan, with black hair, hazel eyes, and his last name inked across his back, was last seen strolling in a light blue long sleeve shirt and black sweats, destined, it was thought, for East 2nd Street and South Central Avenue in Los Angeles, according to Hoodline.
Post-disappearance, the community was on high alert as the LASD leveraged the power of local and digital gazes in a bid to rope back one of their own to safety.
