
Yesterday, an unexpected incident occurred in Freetown, Massachusetts. A pickup truck crashed into the St. John Neumann Church rectory, resulting in one injury and ongoing investigations into the cause of the accident.
Around 4:00 p.m., the Freetown Police Department received a report of the crash, according to a statement on their Facebook page. The crash site was soon identified as the church rectory, as reported by WPRI.
The identity of the injured party has not yet been disclosed, but they were rushed immediately to a local hospital. The nature and extent of their injuries are not yet known. Eversource gas and electric crews, in conjunction with local authorities, have been called in to assess the rectory's structural damage, as per WHDH reports.
The reasons behind the truck's crash into the rectory remain undetermined. Investigators are currently focusing on potential factors such as road conditions, mechanical issues, or under the influence driving. It is yet to be decided if charges will be pressed.
