In celebration of its eighth anniversary, the San Diego-based eatery, The Crack Shack, is hosting a weekend-long party starting tomorrow. This homegrown fried chicken institution, with locations extending to Utah and Las Vegas, is set to commemorate the occasion with an array of activities and special offers per Eater San Diego.
Posted on their website, The Crack Shack was initiated as a modest venture by the team at Juniper and Ivy in November 2015. It has since grown to become a cherished attraction for locals and tourists, acclaimed for its fried chicken creations made from locally sourced, high-grade ingredients.
Guests attending the weekend festivities can look forward to dishes such as loaded fries topped with chicken thigh al pastor, Oaxacan fundido, avocado crema, charred pineapple, and griddled onions on The Crack Shack's signature schmaltz fries with taco stand herbs, as detailed in the announcement. The celebration also includes seasonal boozy milkshakes from local After's Ice Cream and craft beers from Societe Brewing Co.
In conjunction with the celebration, The Crack Shack is giving patrons an opportunity for giveaways throughout the weekend. The first 50 customers each day will enjoy branded gifts, including fanny packs on Friday, koozies on Saturday, and reusable tote bags on Sunday, as noted by Eater San Diego. An added feature of this celebration is a large giveaway on their Instagram (@getcrackshacked), allowing fans to participate in the celebration from anywhere.
