Yesterday, community members were alerted about a scheduled traffic disruption in San Marcos. The Vallecitos Water District revealed plans for water leak repairs near the Albertsons shopping center, indicating that the intersection of Rancho Santa Fe Road and San Marcos Boulevard will be affected. Repair work is slated to begin on Wednesday, November 8 at around 8 PM, wrapping up, ideally, by 6 AM Thursday morning, per the Vallecitos Water District.
The repair operation this week will cause the closure of the #1 southbound lane on Rancho Santa Fe Road – the one closest to the median – and the northbound turn-lane into the Albertsons shopping center. Residents are advised to avoid the affected area, to prevent getting caught in traffic delays and congestion.
Meanwhile, San Marcos residents should bear the scheduled water leak repairs in mind while traveling in the city on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
