In Schaumburg, a suburban artery pulsated with the flash of police lights as officers from the Sheriff’s Police and Schaumburg Police Department rolled out a roadside safety checkpoint on Golf Road.
The operation, carved into the calendar earlier this month, cast a wide net, snagging speedsters, and delinquent guardians of child safety. According to the Cook County Sheriff's Facebook post, tickets were disseminated with impartial fervor to those who flouted the strictures of seat belts and child restraints.
The checkpint is reportedly funded through a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The Police urges everyone to please drive safely so that everyone makes it home this holiday.
