
In a tragic turn of events that shook the quiet skies above central Indiana, a lone pilot perished when their small plane nosedived into a field near Shelbyville Municipal Airport. The fatal accident unfolded Wednesday, approximately 25 miles southeast of the hustle of Indianapolis, around 5 p.m., per NBC Chicago.
The pilot was manning a Cirrus SR22, a craft embraced by the skies as one among the ranks of small, personal aircrafts, and at the moment of the crash, the pilot was the aircraft's sole occupant, authorities said.
