A 17-year-old boy was tragically shot and killed yesterday in Chicago's Riverdale neighborhood.
As detailed by the Chicago Tribune, the incident occurred around 2:50 p.m. on the 13000 block of South Drexel Avenue.
The teen, who was hit in the chest and right arm, was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Despite medical assistance, he sadly succumbed to his injuries as per an ABC 7 Chicago report.
Currently, there are no suspects in custody, and police investigations are ongoing. The incident further intensifies concern about the high rates of gun violence within the city.
