A tragic incident claimed the life of a 76-year-old woman in Cobb County when she was struck and killed by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street. The accident took place on the evening of December 13 on South Gordon Road, east of Factory Shoals Road, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.
Rosa Moore, an Austell resident, ventured onto South Gordon Road when a Honda, driven by a 27-year-old woman who is also from Austell, collided with her, ultimately resulting in Moore's death at the scene. Police remained on scene after the driver brought the Honda to a stop, where they conducted initial investigations. Atlanta News First reports that the driver stopped her car at a nearby Shell gas station following the tragic event, and currently, she is not facing any charges.
